Fostering Resilience and Harmony in Communities Affected by Conflict and Natural Disasters
Our Peace, Security, and Disaster Response program is committed to promoting social stability and supporting communities in preparing for and recovering from crises. Through peacebuilding initiatives, emergency relief, and disaster preparedness programs, we work to create safer, more resilient communities. By addressing the root causes of conflict and strengthening local capacities to handle emergencies, we aim to safeguard lives and support communities as they navigate complex challenges.

Key Focus Areas:
Community Peacebuilding
We facilitate dialogue and cooperation among community members to resolve conflicts peacefully. Our programs promote mutual understanding, reconciliation, and long-term social cohesion to prevent future conflicts.
Disaster Preparedness and Response
We equip communities with the tools and knowledge to effectively manage and respond to disasters. From early warning systems to training in emergency response, our programs strengthen community resilience and readiness.
Emergency Relief and Recovery
In the aftermath of disasters, we provide immediate relief and support long-term recovery efforts. Our interventions prioritize the urgent needs of affected individuals, helping them rebuild and return to stability with dignity and security.

Project Description
This is a local level research and Advocacy and social accountability strategy, focuses on building the capacity of the community groups to effectively engage and hold duty bearers accountable for improve integrated development outcomes, especially improving WASH, quality health, service provision, sustainable agriculture and peace and security. The project formed 25 Citizen Voices and Action (CVA) groups with 175 members. The group has been trained on how to use Community Score Cards (CSCs), policy monitoring standard tool to generated hard core evidences for policy engagement and influencing. They have also been trained on rights based approach, social inclusion, stakeholder analysis, community mobilization and citizen empowerment among others. Through this project, 35 broken down boreholes and 4 limited solar mechanized water system has been repaired, which increased access to potable water among 18,500 peoples. Also, electricity, beds, classroom furniture and roads project has been provided to some health centres, schools and communities, while countless number of girls who dropped out of school were returned.
The project also increased over 1500 rural farmers on agriculture policy, climate change and environmental protection, while integrating women access to productive agriculture resources.
